About Amazon (Brazil/Mexico) Requirements
Amazon is rapidly expanding in Brazil and Mexico, challenging local giants. Sourcing policies here are identical to Amazon US: a valid GTIN is the 'license plate' for your product. To win the Buy Box and use FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), your product must be uniquely identified with a GS1-compliant barcode.
Validation Policy: Amazon Mexico and Brazil share the global catalog. If a product already exists in the US store with a UPC, you should use that same UPC to list it in LatAm to link the reviews and data. Unique items need a fresh UPC/EAN.
How to List Your Product
1
Access Amazon Seller Central (Mexico or Brazil).
2
Select 'Add a Product'.
3
Enter your GTIN in the 'Product ID' field.
4
Select 'UPC' or 'EAN' as the type.
5
Verify matches. If the product is new to the catalog, create a new detail page.
